The material is rice husk and rice bran — the outer shell left over from rice milling, compression moulded under heat. The husk is naturally high in silica, which is what makes the plate stiff enough to hold a full Gujarati thali of dal, kadhi and sabzi without softening through the meal. There is no plastic lining and no wax coating, and it composts in roughly 60 to 90 days. Why there is no price list on this page
Because a rate for 500 pieces is not the rate for 50,000, and a delivery to Moraiya is not the same cost as a delivery to Naroda. Publishing one number would mislead most of the people reading it.
